The whole gang's together!

To keep the whole gang together, buy a family ticket on Elron long-distance trains. Reserve a dedicated seating area for up to five people — perfect for two adults and up to three children (up to 19 years old).

What is a family ticket?

The family ticket includes:

  • A reserved 5-seat area on the train
  • Tickets for 1–2 adults and 1–4 children
  • The assurance that the whole family travels together

The family ticket costs 2.5 times the full adult fare and can be purchased on the Elron website and mobile app.

Every diesel train has two family areas, marked with floor and wall stickers.

Where is the family ticket valid?

The family ticket can be purchased from the first to the last stop on the following routes:

  • Southwestbound: Tallinn–Viljandi, Tallinn–Rapla, Tallinn–Türi
  • Eastbound: Tallinn–Narva, Tallinn–Rakvere
  • Southbound: Tallinn–Tartu, Tallinn–Valga, Tallinn–Koidula

Please note! Family tickets are not available for international routes or routes served by replacement buses.

How to tell if the family area is free on the train?

The family area has a booking indicator on the underside of the luggage rack.

  • Red = the area is occupied
  • Green = the family area is free
