Railway repairs and timetable changes in 2025
In 2025, railway repair works will continue on the Tamsalu – Tartu, Tallinn – Tapa, and Rapla – Lelle sections. In addition, reconstruction and electrification of the Tapa – Narva railway will begin this summer.
The largest-scale works will take place on the Tapa – Tartu section, where the infrastructure owner, AS Eesti Raudtee, is reconstructing and electrifying the line to accommodate the new Škoda trains.
On the southwestern route (Tallinn – Rapla/Türi/Viljandi), the infrastructure owner, AS Edelaraudtee, is carrying out major repair works between Rapla and Lelle stations.
Elron will provide timely updates about partial or full replacement bus services on our website and through the media.
Please note that temporary traffic arrangements will affect train departure and arrival times. We recommend always checking the current schedule before travelling.
The next timetable changes for the eastern and southern routes will take effect on 30 June, due to ongoing repair works.
