Vilnius train delayed due to drone threat

The Vilnius–Riga–Tartu–Tallinn train is delayed because, due to a disruption caused by a drone threat, rail traffic in northern Latvia has been suspended. The train that departed from Vilnius this morning is currently stopped in Cēsis and will continue its journey once the disruption ends.

“The passengers of the train departing from Tallinn at 10:51 (Tallinn–Tartu–Riga–Vilnius) will travel by train as far as Valga, where they will need to wait for the Vilnius train arriving from Cēsis,” said Elron communications manager Kristo Mäe. “On the Valga–Tartu section, transport will be replaced by a bus or another train depending on the schedule.”

Elron will reimburse the ticket price if the train is delayed by 30 minutes or more. To request compensation, passengers must fill out a refund form on Elron’s website: https://elron.pilet.ee/en/tagastus

Elron apologizes to passengers for the inconvenience caused.
