From April 13 to 19, infrastructure works will significantly affect passenger train traffic in Estonia.
10.04.2026 12:30

From April 13 to 19, infrastructure works will significantly affect passenger train traffic in Estonia.

During the school holidays from 13 to 19 April, extensive infrastructure works will take place on the Tapa–Aegviidu, Balti station–Ülemiste, Tartu–Reola and Tartu–Valga sections, significantly affecting domestic passenger train traffic in Estonia. International passenger train services will be suspended from 13 to 17 April, and on 18–19 April trains to Riga and Vilnius will terminate in Tartu.

“During the school holidays, extensive infrastructure works will be carried out on sections of the railway managed by Estonian Railways Ltd, including Tapa–Aegviidu, Balti station–Ülemiste, Tartu–Reola and Tartu–Valga. These works will significantly affect both domestic and international passenger train services,” said Kristo Mäe, Head of Communications at Elron. “Elron staff will be available to assist passengers at major transfer stations in Tapa, Aegviidu and Tartu. Informational boards will also be installed at stations, and passengers can turn to onboard customer service staff with any questions regarding the temporary changes.”

Temporary service changes from 13 to 19 April will alter train schedules. “We kindly ask all regular passengers to review the updated timetables,” Mäe added.
